Lake of the Ozarks West Chamber Accessibility Statement

Last Updated: January 2026

Lake of the Ozarks West Chamber is committed to providing a website experience that is accessible and usable for all people, including individuals with disabilities. We work to improve the accessibility of our digital content and to reduce barriers that may prevent full access to information and services.

The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) requires that businesses and organizations provide equal access to people with disabilities, including through digital services where those services are offered online. We follow recognized accessibility practices and continuously improve our website based on testing, standards, and user feedback.

Accessibility Standard We Use

We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG), which are widely used technical guidelines for digital accessibility. Our ongoing goal is alignment with WCAG 2.1 Level AA (and where feasible, WCAG 2.2 improvements). For state and local governments, the U.S. Department of Justice has adopted WCAG 2.1 AA in its Title II rule; while that rule applies to public entities, WCAG 2.1 AA is also commonly used as a benchmark for accessibility programs more broadly.

What We’re Doing

We work to support accessibility in practical, measurable ways, including:

  • Maintaining clear page structure and logical headings

  • Providing text alternatives for meaningful images

  • Supporting keyboard navigation (menus, buttons, forms, and links)

  • Using sufficient color contrast for readability

  • Improving forms with clear labels, instructions, and error identification

  • Using semantic HTML and appropriate ARIA attributes where needed

  • Periodically evaluating the site with accessibility testing tools and manual checks

Accessibility Tools and Assistive Options

Our website may include an accessibility interface (sometimes referred to as a widget or overlay) intended to provide additional user-controlled display and navigation options. These tools can be helpful for some visitors, but they do not replace accessible design and development work. We prioritize addressing accessibility in the site’s underlying code and content and treat any interface tool as a supplemental option.

If you use assistive technology (such as a screen reader, speech recognition software, or keyboard-only navigation) and encounter an issue, please contact us using the information below so we can help.

Third-Party Content

Some pages may include content or links provided by third parties (for example: embedded maps, event tools, social feeds, or booking/contact services). We cannot control the accessibility of third-party platforms, but we strive to choose partners that value accessibility and will provide an alternative when feasible.

Feedback, Assistance, and Alternate Formats

We welcome feedback on the accessibility of our website. If you encounter difficulty accessing any content, feature, or service, please contact us and we will work with you to provide the information you need in an accessible way.
